When the member one and Virginia credit union merger was announced, we were a bit concerned as to how smoothly this would go. In the end, although there were a few minor bumps in the road, we had very few issues with the transition. Most recently we visited the Rocky Mount branch to conduct several complicated transactions. Editing my review now this location is no longer Member One. VCU is the most miserable excuse of a banking institution that I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with, and I’ve banked with Wells Fargo and BoA before. I’d give it negative stars if I could. I was a Member One customer for 15 years. VCU will never see another penny of my money. Member One is just an awesome credit union. The employees are all super friendly. I’ve been a member for almost 10 years now and couldn’t imagine banking anywhere else.
