I was offered a personal loan in an email of 6.99%, so I applied. I was approved and someone contacted me. I was told because I would be paying off their $2700 credit card balance (I have a $15k limit at 9.99%) that my spending limit would be reduced to $4k and the rate would go to 26.99%. I thought my score was 804, but it’s 842. She also said my rate for the personal loan would be 7.74%, not 6.99%. So needless to say, I was confused as to why they would do this. So they lost me. Staff was very rude tried to deposit over 6 grand to pay my husbands credit card while he had been incarcerated turned in power of attorney 8 times and they refused to take my money. Definitely don’t bank at VACU and the lady didn’t give me the social security card back. Manager is rude and should not be a manager and he refused to give me his managers name and number
Update: how is Virginia Credit union still saying you're late on your loan when they issued the loan forgiveness? I wonder what the shareholders of Virginia Credit Union have to think of all of the frustrated customers, especially the ones closing their checking and savings accounts. Member one is sooo missed! We’ve had nothing but issues with this bank, since the merger happened. We’ve been with them (Member One) over 10 years and never had any issues. It’s time for a change.
