Originally an 1890 wedding gift from the father of a bride, it features nine elegantly furnished guestrooms with private baths. Built one block from Charleston Harbor across from White Point Gardens, it was established as a guest house in 1946 with an excellent reputation for gracious Southern hospitality. Guests are pampered with a deluxe Continental breakfast on the piazza, in-suite or in the garden along with traditional afternoon tea and freshly baked treats. Within walking distance are grand mansions, shopping and dining establishments. Concierge service will help with dinner reservations, and guests can pick up the city trolley at the park. -Natasha Lawrence

Beautiful Location
Two Meeting Street is one of the nicest Bed & Breakfast's in Charleston. They are located right on the Battery and are within walking distance of all the major attractions. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL... with some actually overlooking the park. We stayed in one of the rooms that had it's own private balcony and were able to enjoy our breakfast and afternoon tea with just the two of us. If someone is looking for a quiet romantic inn then this is the place to stay!

Charleston's loveliest historic mansion was made for romance. – The Scene
One of Charleston's most famous inns, this property overlooks White Point Gardens in the heart of the affluent South of Broad neighborhood. But guests are sheltered from the flashbulbs by a lush garden and a sprawling wraparound porch--an ideal spot for taking in the view of Charleston Harbor.
The Details
The inn is popular with honeymooners, and for good reason: The nine guest rooms are

Reservation issues – To be fair, we were never able to stay at Two Meeting Street Inn, so the accommodations may be very nice. Due to errors with their web reservation system, we were informed that we had a room when none were available. Despite being told a room was reserved for us and recieving a confirmation email from the Inn Keeper, when re-confirming by telephone I was told that they had made an error and that we would not have a room. The Inn Keeper (Karen) admitted that it had been her assistant's error and apologized, but she refused to even attempt to find us other accommodations. I believe that this is a poor reflection on the Inn and those making reservations via the web should b...  more>>
