Ironically, we used to bank with Mechanics Bank. This bank branch has to be the biggest joke. We are a heavy equipment brokerage. We are a large wholesaler for the equipment industry. The branch manager was literally trying to talk a customer out of doing business with us and trying to go directly with the seller. Which they obviously can't do. Right now the phone number connects to a confusing CISCO directory tree, with no available operator, and no information acknowledging the existence of Mechanics Bank. Aside from that the policies and restrictions are odd for being harsher than other banks. The service is still every bit as amazing as it was when it was the Scott Valley Bank.

Magnificent service I just completed my first year with Scott Valley bank. I go to the Mount Shasta branch. I receive outstanding, friendly, and competent service. People actually know my name. It feels good to bank there. And no, I don't work at Scott Valley Bank, nor does anyone in my family work there. I just love to be treated well, because I love people and treat others well.
