I been reading some reviews and Lauren is right I also experienced different treatment. Jeffrey mcphee has provided the worst cuatomer service I have experienced in my life. He even asked me why I did not go to a bank where I already have a bank account opened. They should retired this old unpatient and arrogant man. I am going to contact the headquarters in Walnut Creek.

Yall really need to do something about your parking or call the city to do something. Today at 9am I can’t get to the atm cuz every single spot of mechanics is taken even tho nobody is at the atm or in the bank!!!! I started noticing that at night people are parking there too. It needs to stop. It’s crazy that people think they’re entitled to a businesses parking spots, but y’all need to fix it because what do you mean the ATM only spots I can’t use because no one’s around. Great employees and banking experience at this branch
My family has been a Mechanics Bank customer for over a decade. I have experienced great customer service at the El Cerrito, Berkeley and North and East Richmond locations. I have even been to the Central Valley locations and they’ve been great. However, my experience here at the Point Richmond branch has been unpleasant. I definitely feel treated differently because I’m a person of color (If you are a person of color you know what I mean). I won’t go there even though it is the most convenient branch for me.
