I bought a Felt endurance road bike from McPhail's in May and brought it back to the shop after noticing one wheel hub had some play. Their Head Mechanic said the issue was cheap bearings and that he replaced it with a better component. However, after just one ride that wheel was making a very noticeable grinding noise. Curious, I took off the end cap to discover what had been installed was Max 30 bearings designed for suspension pivots in a mountain bike, which is entirely unsuitable for the wheel of an endurance road bike.... read more
