Not a good experience. Ordered a glass of wine, a pizza and spinach artichoke dip. Server said kitchen was backed up, but two other tables seated after us got food first. Got the food, but dip was cold (shredded cheese on top didn't even melt). Pizza good. Server was nice but didn't pay a lot of attention. Hot water in bathroom turned off. Stair railings sticky. Overall, does not seem like a well managed restaurant.
Unique. The mold was broken; nothing cookie-cutter here. Prepare to be awash with surrounding symbolism and haunted by history, as the ghosts of Bend's past peruse the offerings on hand.
The number 1 reason to come to Oregon is the scenery. A very close second is McMenamins! Wow, do I love their vegan burger. I have eaten dozens and dozens of them. We stayed over night at the St. Francis School after having already eaten vegan burgers at the Mall 205 McMenamins in PDX, so I decided to try something different for dinner at the St. Francis.
