Classic Metro, great deals and kind cashiers.
Never feel alone in this place, there’s a mutual respect and superior cart-wielding ethics that you just can’t find in the big stores. The cashiers I’ve had the pleasure of talking to are charming to say the least. The manager is inspirational, noticing my onion was soft and sending me off to pick a new one. I’ve become attached to Metro Glebe. No notes
Not open on Easter
It is a great village grocery store. Was better when owned privately. Metro corporate owns it now.
Overall a fine grocery store with mostly friendly staff. The only reason I’m leaving a review at all is for the purpose of this PSA: Do NOT buy alcohol here unless you are pressed for time as it is incredibly marked up. They put signs up, such as the one depicted in the photo, demonstrating a large “sale” but it is borderline a scam. First of all, Guinness is sold at LCBO for $26.45 with tax included.
