I know there are alot of varying reviews here and I can relate to some extent. Last year (my first year at McGill) I was very sick and stuck in bed for days alone, as I am an out-of-province student, and I called exactly at 8:30AM and was unable to get an appointment. However, this year I needed to see a doctor and I called after class one afternoon and was able to get an appointment to see a doctor just a few days later! I always get an appointment for the following day, as the day of is likely busy which is understandable. I’ve had two women GPs and nurses who were incredibly helpful and attentive.
Horrible appointment experience. The second it turned 8:30 I called and since they were so many callers they couldn't even take my call and just hang up.
Absolutely nightmare, dystopian situation at McGills wellness clinic. This clinic needs more funding, more practitioners and a better system You must call first thing in the morning to book an appointment with a GP. It's entirely chance whether or not you'll get an appointment as everybody who needs one calls at this exact time. This is a tragedy for one of the best schools in canada.
