Really poor experience. They were unwilling to make time for me to discuss tax advisory services. But were more than willing to add me to their tax return queue, which I'll add was not worth the exorbitant fee they charged. Then got stuck with late fees as well given they I had to file an extension. Not once did they make time for their client or show any form of reasonable client services aptitude. I do not recommend doing business with McCormick Tax Group. I began working with them in 2017. While the first couple of years went smoothly, the timeliness and reliability of their service declined significantly over time. In 2022, after submitting my tax documents in mid-May, I was told the return wouldn’t be filed until mid-November. Despite the long delay, I stayed with the firm due to our history. They were so good at training myself to understand how tax return should really work, they made numerous clerical errors multiple times and I learned how to resolve things with IRS after nearly charged for 100,000$. I thankfully resolved it with another accountant’s help who charged me only 400$ for the advice because McCormick’s mistake was so obvious. They are overpriced and then will nickel and dime you to answer any questions you have related to the overpriced services you just paid for.
I don't think this is a viable firm any more. I have been trying to reach out via phone messages, emails and even a office visit. No response one way or another after several weeks of trying. The firm's namesake did good work for my wife and I in the (distant) past. It seems that they have tanked in the meantime. Sorry to see that.
