I had an excellent experience working with McCarthy Transfer & Storage. They handled a complex move from two locations in San Diego to the Bay Area flawlessly. What started off as a pleasant experience turned into a nightmare when the moving truck did not have room for my furniture and stranded me. And to make matters worse, it was a Saturday, and McCarthy had no after-hours number, and the woman I was working for called out sick for days after. They also pointed fingers at National who was equally unhelpful. I have used McCarthy Transfer & Storage for 3 moves for my business over the last 12 years. They have always been courteous, professional and efficient. This most recent move was my last as I am retiring after 30 years. The move was complicated as it involved moving part of my business equipment and furniture to my home, some other items to a storage unit and emptying another storage unit and delivering to my home. Brian and Enrique were AMAZING. Fast packers and unpackers, not a thing broken, and wonderful people. They even managed to chase down and capture our cat when she snuck out of the house - we are so grateful! They made a very stressful move easy - 5 stars, would hire again :)
Briana is unprofessional and extremely rude. Beware that they hire family there and they are extremely unqualified. Had her hang up on me when I asked if she could look up details about our account with them, something within the scope of her job (which should be easy if she could handle the most remedial task of answering a phone, Hint: she can't)
