Our movers were kind, funny, and enjoyable to work with! Not only that, they went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the move and had everything we needed. They alerted us to damages and were helpful in streamlining the process to get reimbursement for those. Overall, an excellent move!
Bottom line: once McCarthy has your money and your items, they don't seem to care about the contract or about actually getting your things on a truck on time. If communication and follow-through matter to you in an interstate move, look elsewhere. Do not use McCarthy's Movers if you're counting on them to go to bat for you in an interstate move. I paid them $1,600 to broker my move and arrange transport with National Van Lines, plus $170 a month for storage, and the communication after they had my items was some of the worst... read more
Thomas and the crew were great. Extremely detailed and professional. Made this whole moving process a breeze. Would highly recommend.
Extremely aggressive and unwelcome marketing tactics. At least 5 calls including 3 voicemails in the last 24h from multiple sales people. It’s overwhelming. I never reached out for a quote, they must have got my number from some list. Makes me want to definitely not use them even when I next have the need for movers. I can’t believe this approach works for them, how could anyone enjoy this.
