MEFCU is an AWESOME place to "Bank". I'd much rather be a member of a credit union than a customer/number at a bank. We've been members of MEFCU for nine years now are so glad we are! Well done MEFCU!

Their loan services are fine but their banking services are terrible. They won’t allow you to transfer funds out to other banks even if you fill out the transfer request form, they simply deny it and tell you to initiate the transfer at your other bank. That’s fine, but it results in at least 4 day hold on your money. I have multiple accounts at other institutions and have never had a problem connecting accounts and transferring except with Mayo employee federal credit union. This is an exceptional financial institution. After dealing with Wells Fargo for years, I left for one reason, awful customer service. Reecent financial dealings with the credit union representatives, have given me the secure feeling that my financial interests are well taken care of at the Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union.
