Disappointing Experience with Bed Bath & Beyond and Max & Lily also known as Maxwood Furniture... I ordered and paid for Max & Lily bed frames on August 5 and was given a delivery date of August 12. The beds were never shipped. When I contacted Bed Bath & Beyond on August 13, I was told the order was delayed and that they had no additional information. Excellent Customer Service I’m extremely impressed with Maxwood Furniture’s customer service. We had an issue with our order that ultimately required a return, and the team went above and beyond to make the situation as easy and stress-free as possible. What really stood out was how accommodating and solution-oriented they were. Would give 0 stars if able to. I recently cancelled my order with Plank+Beam (PB200661) because it happened to be out of stock, although did not indicate that upon my ordering the product on 5/8. I was then not notified until 5/22 that it was completely out of stock. I proceeded to cancel the order and instead ordered through bed bath & beyond. They really should make 0 stars an option. I want to be transparent, I can’t give a rating on the actual product because I never received it, and the company was unwilling to help resolve the issue. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, there was no further communication. So this review is strictly about my customer service experience. This transaction was extremely frustrating at every step, beginning with the failure to provide the overnight shipping I had paid $104 for. More than a week later I got the delivery, not the Plank+Beam console I had purchased but a larger piece of furniture more than twice as heavy from Maxwood Furniture. It was another big hassle getting it picked up again to return. At that point I asked for a refund of my entire purchase price. I didn’t want to risk dealing with another delivery from Maxwood Furniture or Plank+Beam.
