Jon repaired both our leather lounge and fabric lounge. He did an incredible job on both. The leather lounge being 20 years old had collapsed in parts and he restored it perfectly. The fabric lounge had some holes in the cushions and frame and he also repaired it to perfection. Truly brilliant work. We could not be happier with the outcome. Also such a courteous, helpful person to deal with. I highly recommend this company.
I have just finished an upholstery course with Jon. I reupholstered the chairs on my dining suite. Jon is a very experienced upholsterer and a talented teacher. He makes the process fun and interesting whilst still keeping it productive. There were 3 doing the course. We were all tackling different projects, which allowed us knowledge into other areas, not just our own project. There were lots of laughs and conversation along the way. I completed the Mauser and Strange intro to upholstery course in Feb 2025 and it was exceptional. The class was small (three students), with each of us having selected a challenging project. Jon helped us to understand each step of the project, effortlessly adjusting the process to accommodate our different reclaimed chairs. The class was very chill but we worked hard and created some lovely newly upholstered chairs. We had all the equipment we needed and help to create projects we were proud of. We have an old couch with a reversable chaise that we moved into a new room where the chaise no longer worked. Jon cut down the old chaise cushion and matched it to one of the existing shorter ones. He's done such a good job at matching them that when I got them home I couldn't tell them apart. His workmanship is brilliant and I will definitely use him again the next time I need something upholstered.
