Mattox Photography, as one of the area's oldest and largest photography companies, has had the privilege of photographing many of the historic events and people that have shaped the Washington area since 1961, including Presidential Inaugurals (since President Kennedy), the White House, Capitol Hill, and Princess Di's Visits to Washington. We have a full time staff of professionals to handle every aspect of your photography needs, as well as an office staff to accommodate any last minute needs.

Many thanks to Mattox Photography, and especially Michelle, for helping us through a very difficult time. Being a large group from out of the area, we found their suggestions for restaurants, bagpipers, etc. extremely helpful. She helped so much beyond memorializing Marty's services at ANC for us. The album and photos are very nicely done and will be with us for generations to come. We would give them 10 starts if possible.
It was definitely a blessing to have Mattox staff capture this monumental life event with photos and videos of excellent quality. Their presence during the service was unobtrusive and communications via telephone and emails have exceeded expectations. Our family is ever so grateful to Mattox for their outstanding outreach.
The Msttox Family photography services delivered exactly what they promised in their literature and phone conversation. We requested a floral wreath. It was there and it was perfect. We asked for unobtrusive photography and video and those requests were honored. The photographer, Amanda, even thought to take a number of family photos while we were in the Admimistration Building. The military honors were very beautiful and emotional and we thank Mattox for making those memories permanent for our family.
The weather for my husband's burial at Arlington was challenging (raining hard), but the photos that we got were not worth the price we paid. Some of the photos were stock photos, and there was a lot of repetition of the same shot, as if to fulfill a quota. The roses they provided were in poor condition - one stem had no rose. I could have gotten better quality flowers at a supermarket. I'm very disappointed.
Our entire family was overwhelmed by the amazing video that Mattox Photography + Video made of my stepfather’s funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery. The videographer was so respectful and discrete that we barely noticed him, and yet, he captured every moment, from the initial procession through the playing of Taps, 21-gun salute, presentation of the flag to my mother, and eulogies from his grandsons.
