You shouldnt ask long time residents not to pump water from mattole creek that has been running through their land for years.of course they are going to pump 3 months out of the year off their own land . Also the homestead act in the deed _ clause allows owners of that land to have legal acsess of the gravel and water.on their land.Than you have these rich hippy know it all guys with millions complaining about some fish when they got rich doin the same thing, but just happened to hide the pump better.and not have bone head s... read more

The MRC has never asked landowners to stop pumping, but instead seek to provide information and resources for water security in many forms. We are also actively exploring other ways to increase flows including vegetation management.
