My 8-year-old son had a very disturbing and unsafe experience at this Mathnasium location in tempe. The instructor(Chas) repeatedly refused to let him drink water, telling him he could only drink after finishing his “packet.” When my son became upset and cried from being denied water, the instructor responded by grabbing his arm tightly, hurting him, covering his mouth to silence him, and even shoving him aside. I started my granddaughter with Mathnasium in Tempe about 3 weeks before the end of the 2025 school year. At that time she had a D in math. Our best hope was to pull it up to a C. Going twice a week and working with the incredible tutors my granddaughter pulled her grade up to a B. She was in 5th grade and has always struggled with math. We started her with online math tutoring in 4th grade but did not get the positive results as we have had with Mathnasium. Mathnasium is a great place that offers a lot of support. Mathnasium is helping my daughter understand the math fundamentals that she didn’t quite grasp in school. They go at her pace and make sure she fully understands.
