Our eight-year-old has been in the Mathnasium program to get ahead in Math for nearly a year and absolutely loves it! Since we were reticent about Russian math, Mathnasium was a perfect fit for us because it helps him learn more advanced material while also fostering his continued love for math. The instructors and the Director, Liz, at the St Matthew’s location, are absolutely fantastic!
So far, so good, it is our second week of math enrichment at the Mathnasium in St. Matthews and my student (12f) is working hard at stabilizing her foundational math. The atmosphere is welcoming and very positive. Staff give daily summaries of how each session went and information on what the student is working on. Can't say enough good things about Mathnasium! Jacob and the team are incredibly supportive and kind and my daughter looks forward to her sessions every week. Her love for math (granted it's always been her favorite subject) has absolutely blossomed since starting lessons last year and she is confident in school because she feels prepped for the material they're working on. The assessments and check-ins are also a great tool to keep parents up to date on progress and accomplishments.
The team here have been amazing!!! My son is always so excited to go. He has liked all his helpers and absolutely loves the games they play. I can already see his confidence growing!
I enrolled my daughter in this program based on all the positive reviews I had seen, believing the cost would be worthwhile if it helped her catch up academically. Sadly, my experience did not meet those expectations. One major issue was the lack of clarity regarding the online program. Although my billing and account were tied to the St. Matthews location, I was later told that the online portion was not directly affiliated with that center.
