My daughter is going into 5th grade and has been struggling with math. Since starting Mathnasium North Oxnard this summer, she’s gained confidence, enjoys learning, and feels supported. The one-on-one attention makes a huge difference!
When your children tell you Math is fun and look forward to and get excited about doing math and being here, what else do you need? Awesome place for them to be. We've done Kumon as well. This is better. Much better.
Disappointing & Unprofessional I have over 10 years’ experience tutoring math in VUSD, VCOE, VCCCD, and with various agencies—and I can’t recommend Mathnasium at all. My experience: • Underpaid staff. They hire high-schoolers and pay tutors minimum wage (often less than local fast-food chains). • Program not followed. Despite slick marketing and graphics, they don’t run the Mathnasium method as prescribed—it’s basically a marketing sham. • Liability concerns. My 8 year old daughter just started at Mathnasium in Oxnard a few weeks ago. My husband and I thought she would have a difficult time adjusting. She is a pretty quiet child who struggles to ask for help. But to our surprise she is really enjoying her tutoring sessions and looks forward to them! The staff make her feel confident and welcomed.
