The Massillon City Income Tax office claims I didn’t file my 2024 taxes, even though I have a receipt from their own online system proving I did. Their website is low-tech, outdated, and constantly glitches, which likely caused the issue in the first place. Customer service is unhelpful and gives conflicting information. I was told I had to come into the office in person to file my 2024 taxes, only to arrive at 4:15 and be turned away because they close at 4:20 — even though their website lists office hours until 4:30. Rude. Unhelpful. Judge-mental.
The staff will help you with all of your city income tax questions and needs and they even will file City of Massillon tax returns for $10 (cash only). That is the cost as of 2017. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I even emailed them with a question and they answered me within a day.
