Run, don’t walk from annuities with this wretched company. They took over my wife’s annuity and she literally made nothing over principle for years. Her embarrassing low tiny gains were swallowed by enormous fees. This was absolutely the worst financial decision we made going with an annuity. Purchased a long term care policy for my wife and I many years ago. For the past several years, the company has passed on 18+% increases to the premium! Of course they say you can reduce your coverage to make the cost more manageable, but that is not a viable option. Who passes on such a large increase every year? They clearly hope you either drop the policy or reduce the coverage so much they won't have to pay out when the time comes. Is this legal? Probably so.
