Voiced many concern about suspected abuse after my grandmother was found with a black eye, she had dementia and was displaying signs of abuse from nighttime staff. Our concerns were never addressed, or directed to the right staff to report, and the next day was told our grandma “had an incident at night” and was in a coma she never woke from. Make sure you have Power of attorneys in place! My Elderly mother is there and has fallen 6 times over last few months, has some dementia going on, calls other residents through night…this has been reported to family by director of Independent Living. Instead of helping family to encourage mother she needs help, they told us as long as she pays rent she can stay…they don’t care about safety! Just that they are landlords and she is tenant. Absolutely horrible place the residents are neglected The staff are absolutely horrible. Their kitchen is filthy they serve residents week old food state definitely has been called. The nurses allow CNAs to do jobs they are Not trained or qualified for. I wouldn’t put an animal in the place let alone a family member it’s truly sad how everyone is allowing this.
