Established in 1986. Locally owned and operated, Mary's Home Furnishings, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Mary Bowen. Mary believed in offering customers a quality product at a low price. In the late 1980s as the business continued to grow and prosper, the need for more space became evident. The store was relocated to its present location where over an acre of furniture is on display. Then in the mid-90's, as a further tribute to Mary, a second store was opened in Maynardville to service the Union County market.
