I have been trying to apply for the Homestead Property Tax Credit for the past FOUR years and keep getting a notice that there is already an active application- for the previous owners! I have lived in this house and paid taxes on it since October of 2020 and it's now 2025, how are they allowing the previous owners to still get my tax credit?!?! The system is non-functional and the people on the phone (if you can get ahold of anyone, which is nearly impossible) can't seem to help.
How did you manage to not only send it to the wrong address but also somehow it gets lost in the mail? Come on now. You’re sending a tax assessment for a house to the wrong address. How do you screw that up?
It'd be nice if you people ever bothered to pick up the phone.
