If you are somewhat of an introvert, Martins is the ideal place to shop. It is one of the rare shops in the area that offers portable scanners to scan your groceries as you go along. Checkout only takes a few seconds and you’re on your way. Convenience does come out a cost. Generally, Martin’s prices are slightly higher than other nearby grocery stores. This grocery store was great before, possibly the best in the local area, but this location has been slowly going downhill. Increased pricing aside, making them increasingly less attractive, this past week I noticed a bag of shredded mozzarella cheese that was 12 days past its expiration date, placed on top of the newer mozzarella cheese to be sold (no yellow discount sticker, either.) We bought a protein bar from a box on the clearance table that we learned after getting home is over 6 months past expiration. Close to expir... read more
