It is a picturesque pedestrian mall in the Sydney central business district, New South Wales, Australia. On one side you have the present General Post Office Building which is now a 5 star hotel. This heritage-listed building was constructed in stages from 1866 to 1891. Above the centre of the 100-metre (330 ft) Martin Place facade is the clocktower.
