Today, July 12, 2025, at 3:33 pm, my family and I had a very unpleasant experience with Bus #10 leaving the parking lot toward the ferry in Vineyard Haven. When I boarded the bus at 3:33 pm, I politely asked the driver if he could wait just a moment for my husband, who was coming right behind me with a stroller and a sleeping baby. Bus driver was like "stop looking at your phone, I need to go." I was moving at a normal pace in a large line to the bus, and in no way was I slowing others down. Just a weird and rude thing to say. I guess you get what you pay for.
The bus system is great. I grew up here and we did not have it. I lice where it is very convenient to take bus. Don't like to have to find a parking space in summer when it is very busy or at night if cocktails are involved. Very economical.
