Momma said all nurses and staff are very tender and kind and loves being at Marshwood Center. She was a little unsure about a change but fell into a good routine and has made friends. Her quality of life has totally improved because of the staff at Marshwood. Thank you all for taking such good care of momma!
Wouldn't send an enemy to this short term rehab. Constant mistakes with medication, while there, some staff was rude and dismissive. Food was cold 90% of the time, call lights took forever to answer, if the were answered. Also during discharge, pain medicine was never sent to the pharmacy after a major surgery. That is unacceptable, the whole place may not be horrible, but stay away from Short term rehab!
It was bad. My dad was in the short stay "rehab" wing. He basically just rotted there while his health got worse. The nurses and nurse's aids did the best they could. The PT department... worked within their hours. If my dad had not been transferred to Marshwood I think he'd be in much better health than he is right now- his doctor agrees.
First day my husband is staying for physical rehab. Look forward to seeing him progressing at marshwood
