Mortgage Great service from Harris Bank when I purchased my townhome. It was done correctly and the closing on the property went very smoothly. I was not overwhelmed with unnecessary paperwork and it was done in a timely fashion. Would definitely recommend if you need a mortgage lender.
Not paying interest ethically Harris Bank is a Canadian company. In order to make money for Canada, when the Federal reserve increases interest rates the interest bearing accounts at Harris do not increase for a couple of days. This way the bank makes the interest income on the customers accounts first, then after a few days increase the interest rates on the customer accounts. But not after the Canadians have made their money.....
