We hired Marla Rutherford Photography for a very special editorial photoshoot for Broomfield Lifestyle, and she absolutely delivered. Marla photographed our August Kids + Pets feature on EmpowerPups by Hero’s Puppy for Life, a local organization that trains service dogs alongside veterans, first responders and people with disabilities. This wasn’t just a shoot where we needed beautiful photos—we needed someone who could capture the emotion, trust and incredible bond between these service dogs and the people they support. I selected Marla to do headshots for my supervisor. Marla was incredibly communicative and wonderful to work with. My supervisor does not like having her photo taken and was not thrilled to be doing it, but ultimately she enjoyed the session and loved the photos. I agree, they are wonderful. Highly recommend!!
I had a great experience with Marla Rutherford Studios in Boulder! Marla made the headshot session very easy, and the photos turned out professional, natural, and amazing. Highly recommend!
My professional headshot was ten years old, and I decided I wanted fresh ones. After searching for photographers in the area and comparing portfolios and prices, I booked a session with Marla. It was great! I went in really nervous; I'm more comfortable behind a camera than in front of it. But Marla knows what she's doing! She helped me be more comfortable and definitely captured my "best side." I'm really pleased with the results and will be using these new shots everywhere!
My daughters and I just spent the day with Marla at her studio for my oldest daughter's pre-bat mitzvah photo shoot. I truly can't imagine a better experience. It was super fun, Marla and her team are amazing artists, and most importantly, my daughter had a day she will never forget. We had a lofty request, and Marla and her team executed it flawlessly. I can't share any of the photos yet, but they are AMAZING!!! After working with her today, I would trust Marla for any personal, event, or editorial photography.
