While banks such as Chase, PNC, and Wells Fargo, are happy to accept a passport as a form of ID, the manager at this bank refused to open an account using my passport, claiming that passports are not valid forms of photo ID. This was after she asked me to explain "What does interm mean?" as she examined and then refused my interm driver's license for proof of identity.
