I applied for a loan through Mariner Finamce. I have them all the information they asked for, and asked when I would be hearing back from them in regards to wether or not I would be able to get that loan. They told me the next morning, and that was days ago. Since then I have called two different days and was told the person would call me back. Again today I have yet to hear back from anybody regarding that loan. This makes me not want to take the loan with that company if they say it's approved. It's just all around bad bus... read more
My first and last experience with this company was horrible!!! And that was just the application process. I actually asked them to stop the loan process because I was treated so aweful by the branch manager. Throughout our conversation she made rude/ snide remarks about my credit history. I tried to explain what I had been through with credit, was open and honest. Got a loan through Mariner Finance and ended up out of work over six months due to having major surgery. I notified them and once I was back at work I completed all of my payments. So it was paid in full. But this company will not remove the charge off from my credit report. They really just dgaf about their customers. It's their policy so my advice is to get a loan elsewhere. If for any reason you're late on your payments I wouldn't pay at all because once they send to credit bureaus it's there for 7 years regardless. Poor ... read more
Lack of professionalism and once they obtain you as a customer they treat you with less importance. They don't follow up with you and they don't follow the guidelines for getting your loan in a timely fashion. I am a current customer who pays his loan on time and sometimes early for a year now. I went to refinance and it was like I never existed. There is a huge lack of professionalism located at the branch in Springfield, Pa. First off, you got to watch out for the bait and switch tactics at this place. I constantly get preapproval letters in the mail with a code to accept my preapproval. Yet, if you call the branch to take advantage of it, they don't need the codes nor do I you get the amount that was on the preapproval. Secondly, what they won't tell you beforehand with a loan you've been approved for is that they need the title to your car. Disrespectful, they don't want to listen or care about any hardships. All they want is money. They offer no help or assistance. Which is why I want my case to be heard in court by a judge that would have more sympathy for my situation. I would not recommend doing business with mariner finance.

Horrible customer service. They claim some payments were returned from my bank but they can show no evidence of such claims On the other hand I have prove that the were cleared without any problem. Don't rerun calls or messages. I will stop making any payment until this matter is resolved. Diane that manager never returns calls. Albert don't address my inquiries and when I got frustrated and regretfully used the word **** during our conversation he hang up.
