Took a long time to process and record closing on a Friday such that the wire didn't hit the mortgage company deadline by 3pm (which they knew about). This cost us a couple hundreds dollars in additional interest payments through the weekend (on a house that was sold and recorded on Friday). Pretty lackadaisical approach to the whole process and then were slow when it mattered most to us.
Had a great experience with Mann McGibney & Jordan for my home closing. With just 10 minutes to spare, I got everything signed and they electronically filed it, which meant I walked away with my keys on closing day instead of waiting until Monday. We had a closing completed by this agency and the service was less than mediocre. They are not available when you need them most and the stress they placed on us was absolutely unnecessary given that the task they needed to perform only took them a few minutes. Being overwhelmed by work and lack of time is not a good excuse for treating clients poorly. They should only take on as much work as they can handle. Greed is unexcusable.
