I had the misfortune of needing an ambulance ride earlier this year. They billed me for the full amount despite insurance showing that I was IN NETWORK and paying $800 of it. I called month 1 and was told insurance never paid, but give it a month and call back. Month 2 i get the same large bill. I called and they said insurance hadn't paid yet and that I was OUT OF NETWORK and to have them resubmit. Fraudulent business, that exploits and tries to take advantage of veterans. I used the ambulance service back in January, through the VA. The association chose to bill Tricare AND the VA, which itself is illegal. After receiving bills, I have spoken to agents several times. Multiple times I was told they corrected the billing, billed the VA which would mean no charge to myself (and I have this on voicemail). I have also received the EOB from the VA. To everyone that would like to get on here and comment about the ambulance service maybe you should take all the factors into consideration before publicly opening your mouth. When responding to yesterday’s incident were you aware of the traffic disaster on Oregon Pike they had to try to get through to get to the scene.
