I was recommended by a local about this place and I was truly grateful. It’s a small cozy place with a decent coffee and amazing atmosphere. I found a special edition of the book I was looking for and I was pleased. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you have time in Manchester like I did, weather you are passing by or have some time there and you love books please visit this place.

As a bibliophile, it’s a must visit place in Manchester. Very cosy vibe, a small collection of books with autographed shelf too, areas to rest and to socialize, a cafe to enjoy with a pay it forward area, very friendly staff and just the most pleasant vibe. I shall visit again and again, what a lovely experience.
Beautiful place, very good for meet-ups and book dates. The cafe has a nice selection of drinks, as well as super friendly and polite staff. The book selection is super impressive for a mini-bookstore! However, I wouldn’t say it’s designed for quiet reading, the volume gets rather loud, and people stand over you when browsing. Would highly recommend as a place to buy and talk about books, but for reading them? I’d recommend the library.
This place lives its mission. I stopped in for an hour and felt really welcome. Jenny was at the coffee shop and made a point to explain the space to me. I’m curious how the staff is trained to interact with the public because it feels like it could be a model for more spaces like this. I’ll definitely be back—they have seating that seems suited for working on a laptop in the middle room with plugs under the countertop.
