First off, I am a 68-year-old disabled male. I recently moved and received a suspension letter that would take effect on the 27th. I went to the Desoto branch yesterday seeking a miracle since it is only by appointment. Upon entering the branch, I was greeted by a female named Anabel. She saw my physical limitations and upon explaining my desperate situation, she instantly granted me an appointment, easing my stressful situation. Today I had the displeasure of dealing with one of manatee counties dumbest employees, Allison V at the DeSoto Tax Collectors Office. I bought a used trailer off a guy in South East Sarasota for $275.00, when I sat down with Allison V, she stated that she couldn’t give me a license plate today because the 5 in 275 looks fraudulent and it could be a 3, 5 or 9. Great place! Jaden was amazing. Had to renew my license and I was in there for a total of 15 minutes!!!
My daughter had an erroneous bank pay her property taxes. She never had a mortgage with this bank. You call the tax collector to have this removed and the tax collector says its the homeowner's problem!!! This bank, who never had an interest in my daughter's property, has control over my daughter's property taxes and the @ManateeCountyTaxCollector does nothing to protect the homeowner. Big ZERO in protecting the homeowner. Now can she get the early payment discount if this bank payment is removed?? How will she be informed??... read more
