It was a little weird at first renting a car from Manaloha, a non-corporate, local car rental company. But I got over it as soon as I got my confirming reservation email from Sergio. The info was clear, concise, and lacked all the corporate neurosis I usually get from a big business. It was easy to provide my existing insurance info to them, and Sergio encouraged me to "keep in touch" if our plans changed as our visit neared. The upside to going cheap was I felt like a local, not a tourist. During my stay I panicked and hit the hazards. I called the office and they talked me off the ledge. Lol. In fact, someone answered every time. I come every year. Never bother with any other rental. Mahalo
10/10 recommend! I’ve used this company two times now and will continue to do so. The pick up system is so easy. No crowds at the airport and no standing in a long line. Manaloha drops them off at the airport before you arrive, so the car is ready and waiting for you. They are used vehicles, but both times I’ve rented the cars were great and clean. 100% Terrible service. I had read the bad reviews hoping they weren’t true but they are ALL true. I’m going to guess the 4.7 rating is thanks to friends and family writing fake reviews for this “company”. Their “shop” is an abandoned lot with abandoned - barely running cars. Our rental car was filthy before we drove it. 25 dls fee out the airport lot was never discussed during rental. You will definitely have to pay to get out the lot.
