My mother has lived at Magestic Manor for 8 years and it truly has become her home! Prior to moving there, she lived in a Residential Care Facility and we could tell over time that her health was significantly declining. As a result of a hospitalization and the realization that mom needed additional support, I talked with the hospital social worker about other care options and she suggested a Personal Care Home. 3 1/2 years ago our Dad was discharge from Hospital to the Dementia unit at a large private care facility in Regina. Our dad spent 1 month there and had we left him there I am sure he would not have survived. It became clear very quickly that the non-ownnerous staff were not putting in the effort effort required to assist him to become independent again.
