I've been with Mainstreet (previously Union Gas Credit union) for the last 30 years. Today I asked to have overdraft protection added to my account. I've had a mortgage with them for approximately 15 years as well as a few fully paid off previous loans (vehicles, school). Was told a full credit check would be needed on myself and my wife that would affect our credit score. I guess the years of constant payments and loyalty mean nothing.
