This temple is the largest Buddhist temple inChinatown, and inside rests what many believe to be the largest Buddha in New York at a towering 16 feet (4.88 meters). Two golden lions guard the entrance to the temple, which also houses a large urn with burning incense. Besides the expected Buddhist worship services, the temple also has a gift shop for visitors, and a donation of USD1 is rewarded with a small fortune scroll.

A few of my deceased relatives have memorial tablets in this temple so I come here to pay my respects. This temple is well maintained.
Very unwelcome place. This is not what you expect from Buddhist temple. Also, how can you focus, not mention meditate, when you have gift shop right next to you and you have to listen to how much the bracelets cost.
