The food was bland, and the presentation was tired. I think the garnishes were re-used because they were all dried out. The owner were there and came across as very pompous. It was off-putting. The staff was very nice, though.
Szmanias new menu and interior were great. The food was some of the best I have had in Seattle and I have been to most of the trendy restaurants. Definitely will go back.
Had a great time there. Food was not your typical NW cuisine dungeness crab, salmon which every restaurant in Seattle has on the menu. The menu has a NW / German spin which comes from the owner and Chef at the restaurant who is german.The staff are pleasant, professional and friendly.The restaurant is well decored and has a seating around the kitchen as well as more traditional tables for dining.
