It’s been about 11 months since the MagiQuest game was changed over to the new "upgraded" system, and I’ve given it a fair chance. I was genuinely looking forward to replaying the classic quests, reliving the rich, branching experiences of the legacy version. Unfortunately, what we’ve received instead feels like a dramatic step backwards. The new Evergreen storyline is overly linear, far less engaging, and clearly simplified to the point of being targeted only at very young children. What was once a game with ageless appeal ... read more

The idea of magic quest is actually a really good one as it lets kids customize one a wand, choose a name and go on a magical quest to unlock objectives. The reason I gave it a two star rating is simply because it’s unorganized chaos. The play area is spread out over four floors, which isn’t necessarily the problem. The problem is the areas are in the hotel corridors where it’s very crowded as it is people coming and going. On top of that there were a long lines while person reads the ejective and participates in the quest. ... read more

ZERO STARS. Do NOT recommend!! Crazy expensive (spent $60/player), dated graphics, has you going up and down floors 1-4 for every quest of the game. The elevators are so crowded and take forever, stairs are the only reasonable option. So much waiting in line to scan your wand, by the time it’s your turn at the attraction you’ve seen the featured video too many times to enjoy it. Every parent looked miserable and I didn’t see any kids that looked impressed or excited either. My kids were over it less than halfway through the ... read more

An awful experience truly. Getting set up and started is a horrendous line and then the initial check-in screen doesn't work. The check-in is needed to start every new quest so it's an impossible headache. No staff to support except the single person at the shop where you buy the wands. (And this is on a school break week, super busy and they only have one person on?!) Since we haven't really had a chance to play this is only from observation and chatting with other parents but it seems like about 1/4th of the stations are b... read more

Game is mostly broken. Scavenger hunt is really fun and the kids liked it. Lots of potential but gets ruined when the final encounters don’t work properly. Employee said the game is getting phased out so it’s not being maintained.
