They are expected to be familiar with New York VTL service of process rules and compliance but the Secretary of State officers who picked up the phone asked me: "What is VTL?". Incredible! They process VTL requests as part of their functions but their employees do not know what Vehicle and Traffic Law service of process through Dept of State Secretary of State is!
It’s sad when you’re trying to do the right thing for your business and call the government office for help and they act like robots and just repeats themselves. It’s like they were never trained to answer the phones or speak to customers. If I myself didn’t have a job that I take pride in I would have taken the time to contact the news to share my story today.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Dissolving an LLC, paid for expedited processing. 3 weeks later, it still shows as "active." I'm beyond exhausted. Every call rep has attitude. They'll also mock you and give you incorrect information. The negligence and unprofessionalism is staggering. Avoid at all costs if you can.
These people are very incompetent at their jobs and when that happens is causes me to have to call them to fix it ..they never answer the phones “agents are always busy” no matter the time of day. I applied for an LLC to be dissolved and here they are sending me rejection letter that I did not pay the $60after all the prior delays that they caused. Now I have to email them my copy of the money order to show proof that I paid.
