Stopped by this location yesterday and the girl before offering any help which she didn’t , first swept me up and down like she’d never seen a brown person shop at madewell !!! Do better madewell !!!! there was a clear bias in how customers were treated. It seemed that only white customers received attention and assistance, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing!!!! I had the best experience with Chase and Sydnee at the City Creek Madewell. I have been looking for jeans all year and they helped me know exactly how all the styles of jeans should fit and gave me so many helpful tips and suggestions. There are so many different styles of jeans nowadays and they were SO helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Go see Chase and Sydnee at Madewell, they are the best!!

I had a disappointing experience at this location. The staff was unhelpful, and I felt that there was a clear bias in how customers were treated. It seemed that only white customers received attention and assistance, which was incredibly frustrating. I had intended to purchase a few items, but after feeling racially profiled, I chose to leave and went to another store in the mall where I received excellent service.
