I stopped shopping at Madewell 5 years ago due to an incident with a rude part-time employee at their Seattle location. The district manager reached out to me to reconcile the issue. The issue itself was resolved, and the employee was no longer with the company, but that was a really off-putting experience. When I asked if there was a larger size the sales associate told me I’d have to shop online and when I commented that it would be useful to have something in store she said “you’re lucky they even have larger sizes online” so to say that I think they are fat phobic would be an understatement.
