As a former violin player, Maday assures the musical quality of every instrument as well as its visual beauty. All work is done in a small private workshop in Five Towns.

I ordered a very custom cello from Ed in 2003. It's now starting to really sound mature and great - it was great from day 1, but now as it passes 15 years old, the sound is really becoming rich and complex. I am professional cellist based in Denver and I've travelled all over the world with this great instrument. This has become my main cello, over a very fine 19th century cello I also own.
Phenomenal quality workmanship Great customer service.
Ed is one of the top luthiers out there. All of his work is top quality. He puts his heart and soul in to all of his work including repairs.
We had my daughter's cello worked on and it is like a new instrument! She gets a much better and fuller sound and reports that the adjustment to the fingerboard makes the cello easier to play. I can't recommend Mr. Maday highly enough!
I brought my little girl's half size violin in the evening because she keep breaking the strings recently and this time we need the string for her to practice for this weekend's performance. Mr. Maday didn't say much at the beginning, instead he almost took every parts out and start to work on it right away. He fixed it, granded it, glued it, cleaned it, adjusted it from inside out.
