One of the worst solicitor firms I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They were representing the buyer of my flat and originally gave us the email address of the wrong person who would be dealing with the case - my solicitor regularly tried to chase them over a 6 week period but obviously got no where. Machins have represented my interests on a number of matters over the years but dealing with them bears comparison to opening a box of chocolates. Caroline Jeavons was superb in all respects, responding pleasantly, promptly and professionally at every stage with my conveyancing needs. But sadly there are other chocolates in the Machins box which you will only pick once and may end up wondering how they ever got into the box!
Was promised a conveyancing quote by EOD Friday and as of Wednesday, I've heard nothing from them. Clearly this slow approach must be how they act on clients behalf so bullet dodged in my opinion.
The property team at Machins recently helped me with the sale of my late mother's house. From the initial call to through to the completion of the sale, my experience was very good. Gill and her colleagues handled everything diligently and professionally, explaining the process and ensuring all the paperwork was completed and ready. They kept me updated throughout and were very responsive at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for property conveyancing.
From an estate agent perspective - they come highly recommended. I dealt with Gurjit throughout a transaction as one of my clients was using her. She is exactly what you want to help you through the stress of buying/selling a property. Constant updates, if anything needed chasing, she was quick to respond. A testament to the company - highly recommended!
