My 17k unit has been in place for two years. Works flawlessly. UPDATED Oct 24: water pump stopped workinh causing the softstart board relay to fry. Worked with Mabru to find the issue and they are sending a replacement board for $300. Good service!
I usually only leave good reviews, but I think it is important for someone researching AC units to know about the following two issues before purchasing the Mabru unit. After my research, I ended up choosing the Mabru SC12DC, even though it was in the higher price range, it is made with better materials, and you usually get what you pay for. I have 2x of the 12v 12,000btu marine units. use them everyday, live aboard in Caribbean. Needed a replacement part and they sent it right away under warranty. Awesome company!
