Today my 90 year old parents and my sister went to my parents’ bank to get their will notarized and were sent away because they require two witnesses to come with to sign. Later in the afternoon my son and I—the witnesses—took my parents back (which is no easy task with parents who don’t walk or see well), and after a long wait were sent away again because the bank may or may not allow the notary to notarize wills. I moved here from out of state for a job and I wanted a local bank account, I was skeptical at first about the quality of service, support whatever. But having come from a large institutional bank to a hometown bank, I've been pleasantly surprised.
