After not coming here for 6 years I finally gave it another shot. The range officer Chris was friendly and a real patriot. They have earned my business back. The reason I stopped going was after freedom week a while back, I had some legally acquired standard capacity magazines one day at the range. The range officer at the time told me they were not legal and so did his off duty cop buddy shooting next to me. It's a nice spot with helpful people
The park, the creek, and the trails are astonishing. Mornings are freezing. The mountains are half way still covered by snow. Temperature gets over the 70° short after morning. Gold panning is allowed but should not be the purpose of the visit.
First try last week.Great !!! location, CLEAN, great for families and newbies. The staff and check-in was welcoming and all the great information. The range staff worked as a team throughout the day and patient and helpful to new people. They run a really nice program and you can be there for hours, many short breaks to check your stuff on the line, even make it a picnic day as we learned.
